Local products, tutorials, articles.. all new to Local Heroes!

In light of the current situation in this uncertain time, we continue our efforts at Local Heroes. Our goal remains unchanged: support local producers, businesses and local artisans by promoting short supply chains.

We created the platform in March 2020, allowing anyone to search and find farmers, businesses and local artisans around you. With the lastest batch of announced measures we wish to continue our efforts and thus brought new features.

Search by products and contact the businesses

With the cancellation of the christmas markets, it was clear to us that we had to add an option to discover not only heroes but also their products.

Find a local product

Navigate with pleasure

In addition to key features, the design was a little reworked to offer you a more fluid and comfortable navigation, still wth the Local Heroes tones.

It has been optimised for the mobile and the navigation improved: an all new menu bar is now available for when you navigate through the heroes. This menu gives you access to the rest of the implemented features, to view local products or Christmas markets.

Find a hero

Keep up to date with our blog

To simplify using the platform and our communication with the community, we created a blog.

This blog let’s us present to you, and others, the latest news on the platform and other information. For example, we have integrated a “tutorials” section so that you can get the hang of key features: adding a hero or uploading products. Another “features” section lists all the upcoming articles where we announce the newest features for the platform.

Take advantage of the current offer

Who says it’s december, it’s Christmas, it’s time for the Advent Calendar!

During the whole month of december, our partner and sponsor Vaudoise Assurance had organised an Advent Calendar on Instagram, where every day, anyone could win up to CHF 100.- in vouchers to be redeemed exlusively at a business listed on Local Heroes.

Just participate!

And if you didn't know yet

Local Heroes is participative. If your favourite business is not present on the platform, you can add them yourself and fill in their information and contact details. Afterwards, the business can claim their profile and take control of their public information.

  • Claim your establishment

After having created an account on Local Heroes and claiming your business – the application must be approved by us – you can:

  1. Modify your information and contact details
  2. List out your products and get contacted by potential customers
  3. Send news to subscribers of your establishment on a simple newsletter template

And after?

For the future, rest assured that we have plenty of ideas on how to support local businesses and artisans! We haven’t told you yet, as we still have much to do, but it won’t take too long now. While waiting, don’t hesitate to send us your suggestions if you wish to see specific features made available by writing to hero@local-heroes.ch
